The vision of SHECA is making Hepatitis and other related health matters a public health concern and tackling it head on. I.e. health education will prevent several other blood borne diseases.
The mission of the Foundation is a Hepatitis free society where patients who are currently affected get adequate care, treatment and are able to live their lives and fulfill their aspirations without stigmatization in the face of a totally preventable disease.
Disease awareness– our aim as an organization is to increase the awareness of the general populace to liver disease and its inherent causes.
Disease Education- Increasing the knowledge of disease amongst physicians and health care practitioners, updating on new treatment guidelines and best practice in disease mitigation.
Early detection– Through Nationwide screening activities we encourage early detection of disease and prompt referral and management.
Data Generation– For policy makers and program directors on efficacy of programs, and outcomes of interventions, to take guided decisions
Treatment-We promote free treatment and management of cases through the knowledge of sharing initiative. We also promote the adoption of best practice across health systems and structures.
Research-We deploy research and data collections and Mining strategies to generate the required information for planning. The information collected is used for decision making across organizations and advice on best use of resources and personnel.
